The teacher of the Department of Industrial Design, College of Art and Design, Guangdong University of Technology, based on the sustainable design and design cognition of bamboo, has long been focusing on the patent mining and development of traditional bamboo product redesign and bamboo processing tools. In 2017, he was awarded the 1st Humanities and Social Sciences Youth Fund Project of the Ministry of Education as a major member to participate in the construction of a national social science fund art project and the “Guangdong Province Green Design Innovation Course”. He has obtained 4 invention patents, 40 utility model patents and 40 design patents. Instruct students to receive 2 IF Awards, 1 Red Dot Award, Taiwan Guangbao Innovation Award and several domestic and international design awards.

Song Jiajia was born in Jilin city in 1990, graduated with a master's degree in textile and surface design major from the Weißensee Academy of Art Berlin. In 2015, she won the first batch of special scholarship for arts talents sponsored by the Member of National Fund for Studying Abroad. After returning back to China in 2017, she worked as an assistant professor in the Innovative Materials Research Centre of Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology, and devoted herself to the study on innovative materials and sustainable design of materials. In 2018, she won the third prize of teaching and educating in Beijing institute of fashion technology. In March 2019, she organized, planned and designed the exhibition area of "BIFT X IMR Centre" in Shanghai. At present, she has successfully applied for the doctoral degree of the Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University and will formally engage in the doctoral research in September this year.

She received a Ph.D. in Industrial Design Engineering from Delft University of Technology. Now she is the coordinator of design and research for healthcare team in school of design. Her research expertise is product design and ergonomics, product service system design, interaction and experience design. Her research is mainly focused on design for healthcare. She has been presided several projects which were supported by company and government funding. In 2015, she completed the Philips project "chronic disease user research in China". And she has been published SCI papers and a number of journals and conference papers. She presided over the project "Design for healthcare in the context of digital social innovation", which was supported by 2015 doctoral talent program of Jiangsu Province. Now she is carrying research on interaction and experience strategy of intelligent and fitness products for elderly people in the "Internet plus" era.
