Jingrui Shen graduated from Central South University in 2017 with the degree of product design. She is currently studying at the School of Design, Hunan University. The direction of post-graduate is service design and sustainable design with the guidance of Professor Jun Zhang. In 2018, she spent half a year working and studying on international cruise ship. During this period, she was interested in the difference of waste resource processing model between international cruise ship and tourist attractions in china, and conducted research and discussion during her postgraduate studies.

Dr Lam Yan Yan currently resides in Hong Kong, with her status as a design education consultant, advisor, taking her across China to different regions and universities— participating in various design education projects along with a plethora of university design educators with the aim of fostering further creative education. These projects include Creative Education Curriculum for Primary School, Creative Education Training Workshop for University Students and Designers, and researches of teaching methodology and implementation of creative education.   Currently, she is working as Distinguished Professor at Design Academy, Sichuan Fine Arts Institute ; Adjunct Associate Professor at the Faculty of Design & Environment, Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong, and Visiting Associate Professor at School of Design, Jiangnan University.  Dr Lam spends her time writing texts for creative education. Her inspiration for programme core focus lies with the connection between design and lifestyle — how designers should find the most aesthetic design elements through the feeling of empathy and quality of sustainability, thus creating designs that integrate seamlessly with our daily lives with the aim of maximising comfort that truly impact our lives.

Liu Tingting is as an associate professor and postgraduate tutor in School of Art and Design, Guangdong University of Technology, China, as well as the deputy director of the Sustainable Design and Innovative Engineering Research Center of Guangdong Province. Previously she was a visiting scholar funded by Chinese Scholarship Council (CSC) in USCD with Mary Lindenstein Walshok (Ph.D., associate vice chancellor for Public Programs, dean of University Extension) as her host professor.

She has presided over several projects such as projects under the Humanity and Social Science Foundation of the Ministry of Education, open projects sponsored by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development and other enterprise-funded projects. She has published several CSSCI journal papers and won more than 10 awards in teaching, research and design. Under her guidance, the students she tutors has successfully finished several National College Students’ innovation and entrepreneurship training programs and won more than 30 professional design awards.

Dr. Liu Xin is tenure track professor in the Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University. He is director of the Collaborative Innovation Center of Eco-Design, Coordinator of DESIS Lab and the Initiator and Coordinator of LeNS-China. His main research orientation is Design for Sustainability and Fundamental Design.

His current research areas are urban environmental sanitation system research and design, urban mineral research and innovative design, ecological toilet research and system design, community waste classification research and popular science design, as well as new ecological material research and product application design.

Lyu JI, born on April 14, 1993 in Wuxi, China. He obtained his Master degree of Engineering and Bachelor degree of Arts in the major of industrial design in School of Design, Jiangnan University. During his postgraduate education he did research on the direction of service design and social innovation in DESIS Lab of Jiangnan University led by Professor Miao-sen GONG.

In 2003,won the British Fashion Design Award, was invited to Central Saint Martin study. In 2006,received an outstanding master's degree in British fashion design in the University College for the Creative Arts. In 2007, received the Dual Degree Master of Costume Design, Sichuan Fine Arts Institute. In 2007 to the present, the Lecturer, fashion design Department of Sichuan Fine Arts institute. In 2013, Chongqing YU‘AO International Art Center held a joint creative cultural and artistic exhibition of Peng huanhuan (Fashion Design) and MaYuanyuan (Contemporary Chinese-ink Painting). In 2016, LuoZhongli Art Museum held the first personal parent-child fashion show of “Aizi.Joy”. In 2017, two national utility model patents were granted to multi-dress and shirt design work. In 2018, the “HUAN” fashion runway was held at China International Fashion Week.

His name is Tan Changliang. He received his bachelor degree and master degree from Jiangnan University of China in 2003, 2011. Since 2003, He has been a faculty member as a Teaching Assistant , Lecturer. Currently, he is a PhD. Candidate of Tsinghua University of China. He has been doing researches on the problems of ecological aesthetic in design.

Before joining the faculty of design at Southern Illinois University Carbondale, Dr. Tao Huang was an assistant professor of design and former Associate/Summer Chair for the Art & Design Department at Columbia College Chicago. She earned her doctorate in architecture and design research from Virginia Tech in 2007. She holds a bachelor of science and a master of fine arts both in industrial design from Beijing Institute of Technology and Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, respectively. She has practiced in multiple design fields for over 20 years in mainland China and the United States, including design research, product design, interior design, advertising (post-production animation), graphic design, and packaging design.

Besides being an expert in sustainable design (holding the LEED AP Building Construction & Design credential) and design education, Dr. Huang has worked with many clients. Before Dr. Huang came to the U.S., she was an assistant professor at Guangdong University of Technology and the owner of two successful businesses. She has co-founded a design and research consultancy Resilient Design Studio in Chicago in 2013, which evolved into Resilient Farms and Design Studio, which specialized in using design for the revitalization of marginalized communities.
