Nevertheless, traditional learning styles cannot stimulate local children’s interests. Our team takes serious game as a new way of learning crafts and proposes a serious game design model. The purpose of the serious game is to help left-behind children in Huayao area to learn traditional handicrafts. According to Johan Huizinga's Magic Circle theory, this game can help the rural children to learn their national culture, improving the identity of the rural children to their national culture by the elements in the game world.
